Clavicle Fracture Reduction Easily Planned

Today we share with you a clavicle fracture reduction surgery pre-operative planning performed by a Brazilian orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Bruno Gobbato.

Using PeekMed (the first version released), the surgeon was able to generate a 3D model of the bone tissue and visualize the clavicle fracture from multiple angles through our Multiplanar rendering system. Then, using our Auto Segmentation tool, he was able to freely manipulate the medial and distal portions of the fractured collarbone. He locked them with one of our standard plates, developing a fracture reduction.

All of this was possible within a couple of minutes and with little effort using PeekMed, an orthopedic software to easily and accurately plan surgeries for clavicle fractures and other orthopedic procedures.
